Skyline. Supra. Silvia. Japan kept the sports cars Australia never got.
Japan built the most iconic sports cars of the 1990s and 2000s. Many were never officially sold in Australia. Now eligible under the 25-year import rule, they are arriving in numbers and values are climbing.
Why source JDM Sports Cars from Japan?
Models that never officially came to Australia
The Nissan Skyline GT-R, Toyota Supra RZ, Mazda RX-7 FD and Honda S2000 were either never sold here or sold in very different form. Japanese domestic spec is often the definitive version.
Values are rising fast
JDM sports car values have increased significantly over the past decade. Clean R32 GT-Rs, FD3S RX-7s and S15 Silvias that were affordable a few years ago are now collectible. Buying now makes long-term sense.
The best-spec examples are in Japan
Japan still has the highest concentration of clean, original-specification examples at realistic prices. Australian local market examples are scarce and command significant premiums.
